About Me
Elizabeth is driven each day by her passion for relationship building and contributing positively to her community. Born and raised in the most easterly point in North America, Elizabeth grew up surrounded by the essence of community. Translating that experience, and her hard-working Newfoundlander attitude to “help thy neighbor” in all that she does, Elizabeth brings 12 years of real estate development experience to each business relationship she builds. With a passion and portfolio of land and housing development, her extensive understanding of home building, working with all levels of government and a variety of professional engineers, Elizabeth guides clients and advisors looking for a range of services.
Elizabeth has been surrounded by entrepreneurs her entire life, with her mother owning and operating a successful event planning company, and her father just recently retiring after 50 years of practicing Corporate and Real Estate Law. It’s no wonder that Elizabeth, too, has turned to the life of an entrepreneur through her real estate development management business, Locale Real Estate Inc, and her newest venture as an Advisor for Engel & Völkers. Outside of trading real estate, Elizabeth is a certified Architectural Technologist, along with other certifications such as Built Green Canada and NRCAN Net Zero.
After living in Alberta for a decade, Elizabeth was called back East to be closer to home and now resides on beautiful Cape Breton Island. She volunteers with the Rural Cape Breton Living Society, a group dedicated to bringing attainable housing to the region, and supports a variety of different community groups such as Good Bones Animal Rescue and Rainbow Riders. She is also an active Mentor with the Centre of Women in Business. Besides a passion for all things housing, she is also an animal lover through and through, which is demonstrated through her commitment to her dog, Dee and her horse, Jack. Elizabeth and her partner, Ryan, along with their daughter, Scottie, love living the Cape Breton lifestyle and enjoy spending their days working tirelessly at their passion project - restoring a century home in Inverness.
